Ephesians Chapter Three
Ephesians Chapter Three
In Chapter three Paul relates how he in prison because of the antagonism toward him for proclaiming this truth of a shared life with Jesus, and he sees this imprisonment not as a defeat but a victory that he wants the Christians in Ephesus to share in with him. He shares with the Ephesians Church how this truth has been hidden throughout the ages and that he has been chosen to reveal it, even though he humbly sees himself as having less credibility than any of the other apostles. He expands on the wonder of this truth and the inner power that it brings to those who believe it. Verse 16 says ’I am asking him to give to you, out of his abundant spiritual affluence, his own strength and spiritual might in your inner-most selves’.
Paul says he wants us to know and experience the fullness of the relationship that Jesus has with the Father, and he ends with a mighty song of praise to God for the power that this truth works in our lives. Vs 20 and 21 ‘We therefore honor him who has the power to do for you more than you could ever think or imagine, through the power that he has activated in our spirit. We as his church family give him praise and adoration because of and through Jesus Christ for all the world to see, everywhere and for all time.

SPIRITCODE VERSION
1. I am in prison at the moment because of this message that has been given to me by Jesus to bring to you as non-Jews.
2. You know that I was commissioned by God, with his enabling power to especially serve people such as you.
3. God revealed to me his eternal and hidden plan (which I wrote about briefly to you before.
4. When you read it you will understand what I mean when I talk about the hidden plan concerning Jesus)
5. This plan has remained hidden through the ages to all mankind until it was revealed to the Apostles and Prophets by The Holy Spirit.
6. The plan was that not just Jews but all the Nations of the world would share together in everything that Jesus has and is. This is the message of the Gospel.
7. God’s power working in me as a gift from God allows me to be a servant of this goal and purpose.
8. Me of all people, with less credibility than any of you, given the privilege and enabling to tell the whole world about the unbelievable treasure that is found in Jesus,
9. And to be able to explain to everyone how we can share in this mysteriously supernatural truth which God, who created everything through Jesus Christ has kept secret since the beginning.
10. So that now at last all the angelic powers in the heavens will be given understanding of the diverse and far-reaching wisdom of God through his church on earth.
11. That was the plan that he had from the very beginning, with and for and through Jesus, our Lord,
12. Who gives us the freedom and confidence to live intimately with God, by sharing in the very faith of Jesus himself.
13. So, I insist that you don’t worry in the least about what I am going through for you, because you share in the victory and conquest with me.
14. This moves me to bow humbly and reverently before the Father of Jesus Christ
15. After whom the whole earthly race both in heaven and on the earth is named
16.I am asking him to give to you, out of the wealth of his spiritual abundance, his own strength and spiritual might in your inner-most selves
17. So that by faith you will share life with Jesus deep within your heart. I pray that the roots of his love would go deeply into the soil of your hearts and become firmly grounded there
18. So that you would fully know and experience with all of God’s children the breadth and length and depth and height of the love that Jesus has for you.
19. I want that experience for you to be far more than just knowing that his love is there. I want you to experience the fullness of the love relationship of Jesus and the Father
20. We therefore honor him who has the power to do for you more than you could ever think or imagine, through the power that he has activated in our spirit.
